How to Rotate a PDF

1

Choose a PDF: Tap the dropzone or drag a file in. PDFNinja reads the page count directly in your browser.

2

Pick angle and direction: 90°, 180°, or 270°, clockwise or counter-clockwise. 180° flips a page upside-down.

3

Choose which pages: All pages, odd only, even only, or a custom range like 1-3, 5, 7-9.

4

Rotate and download: Click Rotate PDF Now. The rotated file downloads instantly — original stays untouched.

Why Rotate a PDF?

Fix scanning mistakes

Pages that went through the scanner sideways or upside-down get corrected in one click.

Mixed orientation

Rotate only the landscape pages inside a portrait document — no need to split the file.

Prep for print

Get every page facing the right way before sending a PDF to a printer or copier.

Reading comfort

Rotate a scanned photo, receipt, or contract so it's readable without tilting your head.

💡 Pro Tips for Rotating PDFs

  • Odd/even for scans: Double-sided scans often flip every other page upside-down. Rotate even pages 180° to fix them in one go.

  • Rotate before merging: Fix orientation on each source PDF first — much easier than rotating pages inside a merged file.

  • Need per-page precision? Open the PDF in Organize Pages instead. Each thumbnail has its own rotate button.

  • Direction matters: A page rotated 90° clockwise looks different from 90° counter-clockwise. If it went the wrong way, apply 180° to flip it back.
