Frequently Asked Questions
Will this work for Kindle?
Yes. Send the EPUB to your Kindle via the ‘Send to Kindle’ email or app — Amazon converts EPUB to Kindle format automatically. No need for a separate .mobi file.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Only if the scan has an OCR text layer. If your PDF is pure images, run our Searchable PDF (OCR) tool first, then convert the result here.
How is chapter detection done?
We look at font sizes across the document, pick out lines that are visibly larger than the body text, and also match common phrases like ‘Chapter 1’, ‘Part II’ or ‘Section 3’.
What does the AI summary do?
For each detected chapter we send its text to our AI to generate a 2-3 sentence recap. This is the only step that leaves your browser.
Why did I only get one chapter?
Your PDF probably uses the same font size everywhere. Try disabling ‘Auto-detect chapters’ or export as Markdown and split it manually.
